Accessibility Statement for HD Insurance PLC

This statement applies to content published on the domain: hellasdirect.gr

HD Insurance PLC is committed to providing accessible digital services to all users. We strive for continuous improvement and to comply with relevant accessibility standards (EN 301 549 v3.2.1 and WCAG 2.1 AA), ensuring an inclusive online experience for everyone.

How to Use Our Website

You should be able to navigate most of our website using modern assistive technologies, such as screen readers, speech recognition software, or keyboard only. You can also activate our website’s accessibility menu by clicking the accessibility menu icon located on the left side of the page.

Compliance Status

Our websites are partially compliant with the European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. This means that while many parts of our online services meet these standards, there are areas where accessibility improvements are still needed.

Our Approach to Accessibility

  • Governance & Reporting: Compliance is overseen by our dedicated Accessibility Steering Committee.
  • Ongoing Testing and Analysis: We conduct weekly automated accessibility audits using third-party tools, such as Browserstack’s Accessibility Testing suite, to identify and address issues.
  • Awareness and Training: Our staff participates in Accessibility Awareness courses to support best practices in digital accessibility.
  • Embedding Accessibility in Our Processes: We include EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA acceptance criteria in user stories across design & UX, engineering, QA, and customer support.

Known Accessibility Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility issues, which we are working to address:

  • Contrast (Minimum): Some elements may not fully meet minimum color contrast ratio thresholds.
  • Keyboard Accessibility: Some interactive elements are not fully keyboard accessible.
  • Name, Role, Value: Some elements may have missing or incorrect roles or attributes.
  • Non-text Content: Some images lack meaningful descriptive text.
  • Bypass Blocks: Not all pages offer mechanisms to bypass repeated content.
  • Consistent Identification: Some links to the same destination do not always have the same descriptive text.
  • Heading Hierarchy: Some headings may not follow the proper hierarchy.
  • PDF Documents: Some PDF documents (e.g., Product Information, Terms & Conditions) do not meet WCAG 2.1 A or PDF/UA standards.

We are actively working to resolve these issues and enhance accessibility throughout our digital services.
