Step by step
Fill in the information in the required fields. You will be asked for the card number- which has 16 digits and is at the front side of your card, expiry date (month and year) and the CVV code, which is at the back side of your card.
Don’t forget to check the box about Policy Terms and Privacy Policy. After that, the blue button is active so that you can proceed with the payment.
You can also check the box “I want my card to be saved for my next purchase”. You can save your card details and retrieve them easily at any future point you wish to make a purchase. Your card details will not be stored on Hellas Direct’s database but will be converted into a token, which will enable your 1 click renewal.
If your card doesn’t have an authentication step, then you will see the message “Your purchase has been completed”.
However, in most cases there is a security process (3ds Secure) for the transaction to be completed, either via an e-banking push notification or with an OTP (one time password) that you will receive through text message or viber. Read more below.
Payment with a Pireus Bank card
The authentication is done only through e-banking. You will receive a notification via Winbank, which you have to accept.
If you haven’t activated the Winbank app, you will be asked to fill in your e-banking credentials. After that, the transaction can be approved.
After approving the transaction, you will have to get back to Hellas Direct site for your purchase to be complete. You will see the message “Your purchase has been completed”.
Payment with a Eurobank card
Authentication is done through e-banking or OTP. As soon as you click «Complete purchase», you will receive a message informing you that authentication is needed and that a code is being sent.
When you receive the Push Notification, you have to press on “Payment” and then you will see a message about the successful transaction.
After giving your approval, you will have to get back to Hellas Direct site for your purchase to be complete. You will see the message “Your purchase has been completed”.
With OTP: In case you haven’t an e-banking account, then the authentication process is done through your card’s pin. The bank will ask you to confirm 2 randomly picked digits of the 4-digit pin. Then, the bank will send you the 6-digit OTP through text message or Viber.
Payment with a NBG card
For the National Bank of Greece, the authentication has two processes, either via e-banking, or via the NBG Authenticator app.
As soon as you click “Complete purchase”, you will be informed about a message sent to you to approve the transaction.
Then you will get an e-banking notification for the approval and when you confirm the payment you will get an approval message.
By returning to the Hellas Direct page, your purchase will be completed.
If you don’t have e-banking, you can download the NBG Authenticator app to approve your transaction as described above.
Payment with an Alpha Bank card
The authentication is done either through e-banking push notification or with an OTP and e-com PIN.
For the push notification, the approval is given through e-banking. In case you haven’t activated Push Notifications, e-com PIN will be needed.
The e-com PIN is a digit numeric code that you will set and which you should remember. For setting the e-com PIN, you will be asked – only the first time – during the purchase to enter your Tax Registration Number (ΑΦΜ) in a special field that will be displayed and then, following the instructions, you will need to set the e-PIN you wish to use for the specific card.
For your transaction you will receive a 6-digit OTP through text message ori Viber and you will have to fill it in as well as your e-comPIN.
Via your PayPal account
You can pay using your PayPal account. When choosing Payment Method check the PayPal box and underneath that don’t forget to check the box about the Policy Terms and Privacy Policy.
